How does speed training work?

The official loop puts it first: train to gain Speed. Training is a repeatable action, not a one-time purchase, and its rate is what potions multiply:

The logic of the order: training buys races, races buy eggs, eggs buy pets, pets buy cash. Cash potions accelerate the last step; training potions accelerate the first. When in doubt, accelerate the first.

How much speed do I actually need?

One number matters, and it is not your personal best:

Your usable speed is the speed that wins a race while carrying an egg.

The game slows you down while you hold an egg — so a course you can win freely may be unwinnable with an egg in hand. That gives a clean training target:

• Win a course empty-handed? Good, but that’s not the test.
• Win it while carrying an egg? That course is now farmable, and its egg rolls are yours.

When you stall, resist the urge to move to a harder course. Go back, farm the one you can win with an egg, and let the income fund the next speed tier. This is the single most common progression mistake in the game.

What does the speed scale look like?
