Race for Eggs Beginner Guide — Your First Hour, Step by Step

Race for Eggs is a racing-and-collecting simulator with a tight loop: train → race → hatch → earn → train again. The first session decides how fast everything after it goes. This guide is the shortest path through that first hour — and the decisions that matter after it.

What should I do first?

Redeem the RELEASE code before anything else. It grants a free Lizard pet, and pets earn cash over time — so the Lizard starts paying you during your very first session, before you have won a single race. The code is entered in the Shop menu (codes page has the exact steps).

With the Lizard placed, you have an income floor. Everything else builds on it.

Speed or races — what comes first?

Alternate, and understand the rule that connects them: carrying an egg slows you down. Your usable speed is the speed that wins a race while holding the egg. That gives a clear early target:

1. Train speed until a course looks winnable while carrying.
2. Win that race — placement is what earns the egg, not finishing.
3. Hatch the egg into a new pet and place it for more income.
4. Train again — now with two pets paying the bills.

Over-training before racing is the most common early mistake: speed only pays off once it converts into eggs. Over-racing without training is the other one — you’ll plateau on courses your speed can’t hold. The full speed system is in the speed guide.

What should I spend cash on?

The shop sells acceleration, and early priorities are:

Shop tiers stock progressively better stock — creator footage shows tier 4 carrying turkey eggs, sphinx eggs, snakes and the Rainbow Dog. Treat high tiers as shortcuts once your income supports them, not as the main route: racing is the engine, the shop is the accelerator.

Roblox Plus accounts get +10% cash according to the official description — if you already have Plus, that compounds quietly on everything.

How do the worlds work?

The game is split into worlds — world one, world two, and beyond — and each gates its own courses and egg pools (the T-Rex egg shows up in world two). The progression rule:

Move up a world when you can win its courses while carrying an egg — not when you can barely scrape through.

A player farming world one consistently out-earns a player who barely survives world two. Rushing worlds is the second most common progression mistake.

When should I rebirth?

Rebirth multiplies your cash earnings, and the multiplier climbs steeply — creator footage shows multipliers reaching 512× the base cash at high rebirth counts. That is the engine that makes late-game pet income absurd.

The timing rule of thumb: rebirth when rebuilding will be faster than continuing the current grind. Early on that is sooner than you’d think — one creator’s run shows five rebirths in quick succession during a rebuild. What’s the long-term goal?

The chase, in order:

1. Build the cash engine — common pets, levelled and mutated, paying for speed (pets guide).
2. Push egg quality — rarer eggs appear on harder courses and on easy ones you can re-run, so don’t ignore familiar tracks (eggs guide).
3. Hunt mutations — gold, radioactive and rainbow variants are where duplicates become assets (mutations guide).
4. Secret pets — secret eggs and max-level secrets (a Kraken, a dragon egg secret) are the end-game targets.
